THE SUMMER

Written & performed by Witold Chandra

Dream has ended
and so has innocence
Comfort far gone
Disappeared with diligence

Fallen deity
Eyes closed, i hear you cry
Primitive instinct
Just wants to catch your eye

In the summer
I will not depend on you
And the summer
I am not defending you

In the summer times
Is my foe
My demise
In the summer sun
I am sad
I am none

The sun
In the summer times
Is my foe
My demise
In the sun
In the summer sun
I’m sad
I’m none

Winter´s ended
And my soul´s a broken place
Begging the night to
Stay at least a few more days

On liberation
I will fool the puppetry
Long for the first time
To belong to somebody

In the summer
I will not depend on you
And the summer
I am not defending you

The sun
In the summer times
Is my foe
My demise
In the sun
In the summer sun
I’m sad
I’m none

In the summer times
Is my foe
My demise
In the summer sun
I am sad
I am none

Let go
